All preparations for the new academic session should be completed before the election
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has instructed the schools to make necessary preparations for the new academic session before the local level elections. Ministry spokesperson Deepak Sharma said that the school has been instructed to start teaching from the first week of May after completing all the preparations within Baishak.
According to him, the annual examination of the previous academic session and the program of enrolling new students will run simultaneously. During the examination, the school will start enrolling students in class one.
The class 8 examination to be taken by SEE and local level is in April. We have also asked to take other class exams in April. This means that the schools are busy with the examination work from 15th to 20th of April, ‘said Sharma. The new academic session starts from the first week of Jestha. ‘
Some schools with polling booths will be closed for about a week. However, Sharma said that the school would not be closed on any day other than the election day as the teachers were not paid and the polling booths were not available.
